Local Offer website launch event

Please join us at our Hertfordshire Local Offer website launch event next Tuesday 21 January in Watford.

All parents and carers of a child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Hertfordshire are invited to join us at our Local Offer website launch event.

We’ve been on an exciting journey rebuilding and improving our Local Offer website with help from parents, carers and professionals. The event will be bringing the Local Offer to life showcasing exhibitors from SEND organisations across Hertfordshire. You can read about our journey here.

The Local Offer website lets parents, carers, young people and professionals know what SEND services are available in Hertfordshire and who can access them. Over the last year we’ve been on an exciting journey rebuilding and improving our Local Offer website with help from parents, carers and professionals. There will be an opportunity to find out more about the new website and to provide your feedback at the event.

More than fifteen organisations who support families from across the county will be attending (listed below), alongside representatives from Hertfordshire County Council’s SEND specialist teams, YC Hertfordshire and the Money Advice Unit. There will be a series of workshops throughout the day where you can learn more about supporting yourself and your family.

The Purple All Stars, a talented group of Hertfordshire residents with additional needs who share important health and wellbeing messages through performing arts, will also be joining us for a special performance.

The Local Offer website launch event is taking place between 12-7pm at the Stanborough Centre, 609 St. Albans Road, Watford, WD23 9JL. No need to book, simply drop in when you can. Parking is available on site and children and young people are welcome to attend.
