Plans for additional £5m funding announced for SEND services in Hertfordshire

You may have already seen news of Councillor Richard Roberts, Leader of Hertfordshire County Council, who announced plans to invest additional funding into SEND, at a full council meeting last Tuesday 23 May.

We will now work alongside officers and key stakeholders on an implementation plan for these proposals, which will go to panel in June and then Cabinet in July, and will share more details on the plan later in the year.

HPCI survey on Alternative Provision (ages 5-18)

Herts Parent Carer Involvement are running a survey to understand the views and experiences of families whose children are using or have accessed Alternative Provision (AP). If your child or young person (age 5-18) is currently accessing AP, or has done in the last 6 months, please do give your views (the survey is open until Sunday 4 June).
If you're not sure what Alternative Provision is, or whether your child’s provision is included, there is further information about this on the survey.

Autism/ ADHD support survey for children and young people and parent carers (ages 9 - 16)

We would like to offer some more support to children and young people to help them to understand their Autism and/ or ADHD. In order for us to fully understand the needs of families and what they would like the support to look like, we would like to seek the views of parent/carers and young people.

We have developed 2 online surveys (which are open until Tuesday 6 June):

The surveys shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to complete. Please feel free to share widely with more families if you feel they would like to feedback, too.
