Welcome

In this issue:

Family Centres surveys

InspireAll Family Support Services in the West are looking to improve their SEND offer for families of children with SEND. We are committed to providing an inclusive service for families with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. With your help, we hope to gain a better understanding of the needs of your local community.

These surveys will help family centres have an understanding of the needs in each of the districts they serve.  We welcome your views.  Closing date is 11 March 2022.

Introducing ambitions 1 and 2 of our Hertfordshire SEND Strategy: Tailoring and Enabling.

SEND Strategy ambitions

Tailoring: We will plan and deliver services that are flexible and respect individual wishes and meet individual needs.

Enabling: We will continue to develop a skilled, learning workforce that strives for excellence and staff are proud of their own achievements and celebrate those of others.

View our SEND Strategy information on the Local Offer to see how we plan to achieve these ambitions and how it will make a difference to your family.

Our Children, our Area - DSPL / LSP review

children outside school

In our SEND Strategy, we promise to provide high quality provision locally - so we have been carrying out a review of local SEND services - specifically, DSPLs (Delivering Special Provision Locally) and LSPs (Local School Partnerships) - and how these are delivered to families of children with SEND across the county.  In this blog, we will explain how we are using what we have learnt from this review to create new and improved ways to support children and their families closer to their home - Our Children, Our Area.
